Abstract

The work of the Holy Spirit according to 2 Corinthians and the possible pastoral implications thereof
In this article it is indicated that the description of the work of the Holy Spirit according to 2 Corinthians has special relevance for the pastoral practice. The key concepts referring to the work of the Holy Spirit, have been researched exegetically and according to the revelation history and are discussed in a chronological order: confirming, anointing (1:21) and sealing (1:22); change (3:3, 6-7, 17-18); the giving of the Holy Spirit as down-payment (1:21; 5:5); Paul as example (6:6) and the fellowship between God and believers (13:14). After the discussion of each part, possible pastoral implications are suggested.
