Abstract

In this article some theological perspectives of the Renaissance period are highlighted and discussed. The conclusion arrived at is that we can hardly speak of a "theology of the Renaissance", and that much of the observations about and criticism of the Renaissance period consist of generalisations. Although the author has reservations concerning Renaissance thought in general, appreciation for certain facets is stated.
