In this article the relation between anthropology and pastoral theology is investigated. The key features of a Biblically founded anthropology are formulated and the relevance of these features for pastoral theology is discussed. A strong stand is taken against any dualistic approach as man is created as a unity and is called to live one life coram Deo.
