Op teologiese gebied waarsku al meer stemme teen die onderskeiding tussen kerk as instituut en kerk as organisme en pleit dat die begrip kerk weer gelaai word met die Bybelse inhoud van kerk-wees omdat daar ’n Christen-wees deur die geloof is. ’n Mens hoor egter ook onder ons al meer hoe die term ‘kerk’ met ’n verskraalde instituut-betekenis gebruik word.
